Signature Events

TECH INDUSTRY NIGHT: October 30, 6:30-8:30 @ Radisson Ballroom. Meet with representatives from LA and Silicon Valley tech firms at HTA's signature event of the year.  Event format will consist of a 30-minute networking session and three 20-minute roundtable discussions at company tables of your choice - first come, first serve. A mandatory prep session will be held on October 22.  Remember, many of these companies have full time and/or internship opportunities for you, so don't miss out.   

Companies that have attended in the past: Google, Salesforce.com, Adobe, Intel, Yahoo!, IBM, AT&T, Intuit, and Oracle. 

BAY AREA TECH TREK: The Bay Area Tech Trek is a week filled with events and networking in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. It has become a tradition for Marshall to visit tech companies in Northern California during Winter Break. In January 2012, we visited 13 of Silicon Valley's and San Francisco's leading technology firms:
 - Internet: Google, Salesforce.com, eBay, Yahoo!
 - Hardware: Cisco, SanDisk
 - Software: VMware, Actuate
 - Entertainment/Gaming: Zynga, EA
 - Mobile: AT&T, Jawbone
 - Startup/VC: Yammer

Other Events

HTA Mixers: Great networking opportunities within the Marshall community and within Los Angeles.

Internship Panel: 1st years, come and ask the 2nd years questions on their internship experience. They'll be happy to share the good and the bad, and address any concerns you may have, especially if you plan to switch careers.

Speaker Series: HTA will host tech experts to speak to us on the latest and greatest in the tech world.  Last year, topics included augmented reality and digital media. This year, we will have topics like startups, mobile, digital media and more.

LA Tech Spotlight: TechZulu is an organization of LA start-ups. A few of them will come and speak about their companies so that you can learn about others in the area. Who knows, maybe this will inspire an idea of your own!
