Upcoming Events

1. Sep 5th. Linked You In---Alternative Networking Panel

ALPFA Alternative Networking Panel aims to provide students with an opportunity to learn alternative networking methods and how to successfully build connections in the business world.
Topics for panelists to talk about may include:
Using LinkedIn: building a perfect profile, connecting professionals, etc.
How to make cold calls & reach out through emails, etc.

2.Sep 19th. All About Accounting Advisory (Panel Event)

While nearly all students are aware of the two major Accounting career paths, Audit and Tax, many students are confused when it comes to what the Advisory career path is in the Big 4 Accounting firms. This event serves to inform curious students what the Accounting Advisory career is by inviting panelists to share on topics such as:Nature of Advisory Services; Day to Day work responsibilities; Why choose Advisory?

Ascend USC chapter is a student chapter of Ascend, which is the premier national, non-profit organization--sponsored by all the Big Four Professional Services Firms--dedicated to enabling its members, business partners and the community to realizing the leadership potential of Pan-Asians in global corporations.

Membership Benefits
Ascend USC chapter is one of the largest student chapters nationally, with over 100 members. Students are actively involved in events ranging from professional mentoring sessions to resume workshops and community service opportunities, as well as the annual recognition dinner.

Mission
The Asian American Business Association (AABA) was established in 1982 to bridge the gap between the business students and the Asian/Asian American business community. As a Marshall Student organization, AABA emphasizes professionalism and cultural awareness by providing students with a number of services which include, (but are not limited to) job opportunities, career workshops, corporate events, mentoring and networking events.

Each semester, the organization has grown in its commitment to offer its members the best opportunities to meet the expectations of an increasingly competitive business environment. AABA is the only active undergraduate student business association at the Marshall School of Business with an emphasis on job opportunities for Asian Americans, be it with a company abroad or a global company at home. Although the organization is catered to business students of Asian descent, AABA is diverse in focus and its membership also includes student from different majors, ethnicities, and classes.

The USC Asian American Business Association (AABA) is an active student organization that emphasizes professionalism and cultural awareness on campus. As a Marshall organization, AABA has a strong twenty-year history of providing students a number of services—job prospects, career workshops, corporate events, mentoring, and socials. Mission
The Black Business Student Association of USC is dedicated to preparing students of all backgrounds and areas of study to succeed in the professional world by providing them with numerous resources and fostering a community for them within the university and beyond.

Membership Benefits
Official members of the Black Business Student Organization of USC during the 2015-2016 academic year will enjoy numerous benefits and will be presented with a range of exclusive opportunities throughout the year. To gain access, prospective members must complete their online application, and pay their semester dues ($15) or full-year dues ($20) by joining the organization's page on Marshall's MyCampusGroups site. Once these steps have been completed, official members will:
-have access to all organization events, including career development workshops, academic development workshops, speaker series presentations, social events, and more.
-gain exclusive access to events sponsored by select companies, one-on-one time with recruiters, and financial coverage for the 2015 West Coast NABA Conference.
-receive extended invites to networking mixers with leading companies, other USC student organizations, and other universities during the 2016 spring semester.
-be matched with a Grad Student Mentor in the USC Marshall MBA program during the 2016 spring semester, based on their academic goals and career interests.

In conjunction with the Marshall School of Business, MOVE's goal is to not only develop future business leaders, but to develop socially conscious individuals with a desire to make a difference. MOVE seeks to enhance the quality and character of its members through its service initiatives.

To achieve their mission, MOVE hosts service, social and professional events designed to illustrate the value and power of social responsibility. In addition to the many events held throughout each semester, MOVE's signature event is the annual Marshall Community Service Day in the spring semester.
