Chris Ovitz:
Chris is co-founder and co-CEO of Workpop.
He is a serial entrepreneur and has spent his career focused on business development within start-up, mobile and technology companies.
In 2011, he co-founded Viddy, a mobile social video application. The company experienced immediate success, amassing more than 45 million users within the first year of launching. In this role as co-founder and Head of Business Development, he oversaw strategy, marketing and product partnerships.
Prior to Viddy, Chris ran business development at Ad.ly, a Los Angeles based start-up that connects brands and advertisers with consumers via the social media channels of influential artists, athletes and entertainers.
He has also held positions at gaming and entertainment companies such as Activision and Paramount Pictures, and most recently oversaw business development for Scopely.
Chris is an active member of the start-up community and serves as an advisor and angel investor for companies such as Box, Songza, Code.org, RadPad, and Mode Media (formerly known as Glam Media).
Chris has earned numerous honors throughout his career, including being named to Vanity Fair's 2012 'Next Establishment' list, Social Media Week's 'Social 25' and a top Los Angeles Entrepreneur by PandoDaily.
Chris received a B.A. in History from the University of California at Los Angeles and an M.B.A. from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
