************************************** 10/17 Update from Danny Le ************************************************

The event will be in a forum discussion format, NOT a lecture format.

Danny wants an audience to discuss broad sets of topics and make them relate on where the students can focus their careers or interest going forward.

Come prepared! This is unique opportunity to get first-hand insights from an industry expert.

Important! Review materials here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1izJlSvqgXvczhJNFE0MlNUVTA. These are high-quality slides, enjoy the reading.

Make sure you AT LEAST review the automotive executive survey from 2017, this will be the focus of a discussion.
Dany is open to dive into Cyber Security for vehicles based on the two other PDF (“test-driving…pdf” and “your-connected…pdf”). Feel free to ask thoughtful questions about Connected Cars and Security.

*************************************************************************************************************************************************************
We are excited to host Danny Le, KPMG's subject matter expert on connected cars and auto technology.

Danny Le previously started and managed KPMG's automotive consulting arm in China for 5 years before coming back to the US practice. During this event, Danny will be comparing the auto industry in China & US (and what it's like to be a consultant for both) as well as how technology is changing the auto industry.

During Q&A, Danny is also open to discussing the white papers he's written/working on:
• Cyber security in connected cars
• Hacking vehicles with fleet-wide security holes
• How automotive insurance will change in the coming age of autonomous cars
• How governments' taxation for roads will change- transitioning away from taxing gas with rising popularity of EVs
• How warranties and recalls will work with connected and autonomous cars
• How autonomous cars will impact real estate prices

The event is co-hosted with HTA and MCSC.
- HTA and MCSC members, please, reach out to your officers to RSVP
- There will be approximately 15-18 seats per club
- HTA and MCSC officers are responsible for ranking in case of overbooking
