Details

 The application for the 2025 Annual National Real Estate Challenge (NREC), an esteemed gathering of top graduate student teams from leading business school real estate programs across the nation is open!

NREC offers graduate students the unique chance to collaborate with their peers to respond to a custom-written real estate case. Each team will have the opportunity to present their case response to a panel of distinguished real estate professional judges. The focus will be on evaluating an investment opportunity, encompassing aspects related to acquisition, financing, and tenanting of the property.

Once your team is registered, you will receive comprehensive event details, including information on uploading resumes and headshots for the Challenge resume book.

Event Details:

Eligibility: 
Team of 4-6 (must be MBA students currently enrolled in graduate level courses; no restrictions on first or second year)

Location :AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center & Rowling Hall, The University of Texas at Austin

Competition Timeline: 
Internal MBCP Deadline: Monday October 6th 11:59 PM PST 
Competition Registration Deadline: October 17th 5 PM CST 
Case Distribution: Thursday November 13th 5 PM CST 
Case Questions Due: Friday November 14th 5 PM CST
Presentation Due: Sunday November 16th 5 PM CST 
Check-in: Wednesday November 19th at 5PM CST at AT&T Executive Conference Center 
Final Presentations: Thursday November 20th from 7 AM until 5PM CST (prelim round and final round for 4 selected teams; 20 minute presentation + 10 minute Q&A)

Cash awards are distributed as follows:
First place team: $12,500
Second place team: $10,000
Third place team: $7,500
Fourth place team: $5,000
Honorable Mentions from Preliminary Rounds: $2,500
