It's that time of year again -- Marshall's headed back up to Mammoth over MLK day weekend. There's no class on Monday so what better way to spend the long weekend than shredding the gnar gnar in the picturesque Sierras.

We've reserved some condos at The Village Lodge in Mammoth Village, which is a cute little development a short gondola ride away from the base of the ski mountain at Canyon Lodge.

How does housing work?

In order to keep prices (somewhat) affordable this ticket assumes that 6 people are sharing a 2BR condo.  That shakes out to 2 people per bedroom and 2 in the living room. If you'd prefer an entire room to yourself -- just book two tickets! You'll receive a link to the housing grid when you register.

What amenities are available?

The village has restaurants, coffee shops, stores, equipment rental, and each condo comes with a full kitchen if you'd prefer to prepare your own meals. There are also a couple of jacuzzis. Bring a swimsuit.

I've never skied before. Can I book lessons?

You sure can, and as a registered guest you get discounts on lessons, equipment rental, and lift tickets. More info to follow as we get closer to the event.

How do I get there?

Carpool! We'll circulate a carpool sheet later this year. Or just bug your friends who have cars. It's a 5-6 hour drive depending on traffic leaving LA.

Are there any other events that weekend?

You betcha. The PM program will be there the same weekend and we're looking into throwing a party at the bowling alley on Saturday night. The canyon lodge does apres every afternoon and the local bar brings in a DJ and stays open late.

How does the waitlist work?

The lodge has an annoying cancellation policy so once we've reached our initial capacity we'll need to book additional condos and let people in off the waitlist in stages. The price also goes up once the lodge reaches a certain capacity level so book early for the best rate.

What's the refund policy?

You can request a refund up until December 1st. After that the refunds will be subject to availability of someone on the waitlist who would be able to take your place. Some summer internship interviews tend to land around this time of year. Last year many students drove up the night before and took the interviews in their condos.

See you on the slooopppeesssss!!!!!
