About Us

Integrate. Elevate. Community.

BGBL is committed to promoting the successes and narratives of Black business leaders of Marshall, past and present. As an industry and function agnostic affinity club, we have the unique opportunity to create a synergy between the many groups represented within the Marshall student body. With varied backgrounds at Marshall, it is BGBL’s mission to create a space where we can show up in our totality, and provide support for the incoming class. The issues that we face are not unique to just one facet or group of individuals; as such, we create events that intrinsically speak to the Black professional experience AND resonate with everyone.

In BGBL, we realize the value of community and fellowship. BGBL strives to foster a community in which we can freely discuss issues pertinent to Marshall students, celebrate the things that make us unique, and cultivate inclusion. To this end, our club also offers informal networking opportunities that allow genuine mentorships to form.

Our ultimate goal is to build an environment that supports students in their transition into Marshall, provides opportunities for career advancement through our extensive network, and develops tomorrow’s dynamic business leaders.
