USC Marshall School of Business | Groups
Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Marshall School of Business, specifically in our students pursuing careers in real estate.  My name is Marina Mesin Zagar, and I am the faculty advisor to the Graduate Real Estate Association (GREA).  As your partner at Marshall, I am committed to helping you with your recruiting strategy and needs throughout the year.

Marshall has always been at the forefront of educating tomorrow’s leaders for business and society. Our students master the fundamental tools of management through both the classroom experience and by partnering companies on a variety of projects. Our students are well trained to deliver in an increasingly global economy and are at ease in the ever-changing, fast-paced business world they face today.

Marshall’s Graduate Career Resource Center and GREA understand the unique attributes you look for in your prospective employees and provides training for its members to prepare them to meet the career challenges ahead.  Some of our unique programs include:
  • Company Presentations - both information sessions and formal evening
  • Coffee Chats/Office Hours - coffee chats and “lunch and learns” are informal, small group meetings and can be arranged either in conjunction with a presentation or other events
  • Real Estate Case Competitions - members participate in multiple case competitions and constantly test their skills against both their peers at Marshall and other business schools. We compete against the best and often win.
  • Day-on-the-Job/Treks - this is an opportunity to host a group of students at your site so they can experience your company’s environment
  • Real Estate Roundtable/Institutes - these roundtable networking events, co-sponsored by our office and a student organization, allow alumni and others company representatives to connect with students.
  • Networking Sessions - members are kept abreast of current issues in real estate by educational forums, organized mixers and luncheons with industry professionals. These events are a great way for students to gauge both their interest in the field as well as their competencies.

Overall, through these programs and many others, we ensure that our students are well-prepared to start delivering at the very moment they become part of your firm. We look forward to partnering with you and create a recruitment strategy that helps you select the best graduate candidates for your firm.  As always, I am ready to help you.  I look forward to connecting with you.  Reach out to me anytime!  Hope to see you on campus soon!

Sincerely,

Marina Mesin Zagar
