Sierra Smith is a second-year MBAPM student and Co-VP of Philanthropy for MGSA PM. She is a Product Manager at The Walt Disney Company, focusing on launching enterprise technology products and driving adoption across global teams. Her career spans roles in corporate finance, product management, and data strategy across entertainment, financial services, and technology. At Marshall, she is active in Graduate Women in Business and other professional organizations. Outside of work and school, Sierra enjoys traveling, event planning, and exploring new restaurants.

Sara Salamat is a second-year MBAPM student and VP of Academics for the MGSAPM board for the 2025-2026 year.

Ruta Keys is a third-year MBAPM student with nine years of experience at J.D. Power, where she specializes in valuation data creation for specialty vehicles. She is an active member of several professional and affinity clubs within the Marshall School of Business and currently serves as Co-VP of New Student Development for MGSA PM, excited to welcome the incoming Class of 2028. Outside of work and school, Ruta enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding, and reading. She and her husband share their home with a beloved ragamuffin cat and recently welcomed a playful puppy into the family.

Jeremy Bui is a third-year MBA.PM student with a background in engineering and several years of experience in the medical device industry, where he led cross-functional initiatives across physician training, product management, and operations. At Marshall, he is actively involved as an MBA Ambassador, mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a member of multiple professional and community-focused clubs. He recently completed a global AI immersion in Singapore and is pursuing a career in either product management or consulting. Outside of work and school, Jeremy enjoys basketball, fishing, and exploring new places, he’s traveled to all 50 U.S. states.

Colin Edward Lawrence is an American Filmmaker, recently featured in Produced By magazine, and a graduate of the Film & Electronic Arts Department and the Advanced Production track at the Steven Spielberg School of Cinema at California State University Long Beach. After starting his career in development at Scott Free Productions, Heyday Films, and 20th Century Fox, Colin went on to Creative Produce at New Wave Entertainment for four years. Since starting his independent production company, CEL FILMS LLC, seven years ago, he’s been hired to write five feature films, he’s produced seven films and two series, and directed four films for independent studios and networks including Netflix, Lifetime, Hallmark, Tubi, Marvista Entertainment, Fox Entertainment and Snap Chat. His latest film titled IMMORTAL CITY RECORDS, which he developed and wrote, arrived on TUBI in 2023. He looks forward to growing his network at USC, learning how to leverage his experience to scale my company, and expand his skillset to create more executive opportunities. 2026 MSGA.PM VP of Marketing and Communications. Joey Perez PM Student 2026

President
Joey is a third-year MBA student with over eight years of experience in global supply chain, operations, and brand strategy across industries including aerospace, food & beverage, retail, and CPG. He previously served as Global Manager of Sales & Operations Planning at Vans, collaborating with brands like The North Face and Supreme and working across international hubs in Tokyo and Singapore. Most recently, Joey was Operations Manager at SKIMS, where he led new retail store openings, fulfillment, and logistics to support the company’s rapid growth. He's just wrapped up an Senior Brand Manager Intern at Procter & Gamble, working in the beauty category, and is looking to start back with that team full time during Summer 2026. He focuses on brand strategy, product migration, and consumer insights. Passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and community, Joey is driven by building experiences and collaborations that blend creativity, with accessibility and sustainability.

Philip Laxamana PM Student 2026

Vice President of Professional Development
Originally from the metropolitan Washington DC area, Philip is a third year candidate in the MBAPM Program with over 8 years of Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering experience in the manufacturing and defense industry after graduating from Virginia Tech. He served as one of the Co-Vice Presidents of Philanthropy for the 2023-2024 First Year Saturday Core and the 2024-2025 MGSAPM Board alongside Julie Ferguson Patel and is also currently an Ambassador for the MBAPM Program and an AVP of Outreach for Graduate Asian Business Society.

Outside of work and class, he enjoys photography, traveling the world, and spending time his family and friends. A foodie, engineer, wanderer, photographer, and not so subtle Asian traveler.
