Are you looking for a challenge where you can hone your consulting skills and solve a real-life issue facing a prominent firm? Do you seek the opportunity to demonstrate your analytical and presentation skills in front of an expert audience interested in top MBA talent? Then USC Marshall’s Global Consulting Challenge is just the experience for you.
Marshall GCC consists of five weeks of preparation culminating in a two-day competition, which is like three competitions in one. You and your team will work together to research and analyze the challenges facing the sponsoring firm and the trends in their industry. You will be presented with three prompts: one focusing on the industry trends; one focusing on consulting methodology; and one focusing on the challenge the sponsor faces. On February 20th and 21st you will be invited to USC Marshall to present your findings to three independent panels of experts and compete against teams from some of the top MBA programs from around the globe for lucrative prizes.
USC Marshall’s Global Consulting Challenge is a rewarding experience for a number of reasons. Not only is it an excellent way to network with some of the brightest MBA students in the world, but also gives you and your team the opportunity to demonstrate your talent to some of the industry’s best experts.
The issues you will be asked to tackle are real and relevant and will push you to develop out-of-the-box thinking. Your findings will have the potential not only to change the direction of a leading firm, but also the way things are done in an entire industry. For example, the concept of “Roll-Over Minutes,” now an industry standard, emerged from the 2003 Global Consulting Challenge sponsored by Cingular Wireless.
