Welcome to the Travel & Hospitality Club (T&HC)!
The T&HC board is absolutely thrilled to welcome you into our family and to our website! Our club’s mission is to connect students in the Marshall community with best in class hospitality and travel brands from all over the world. Throughout the year we put together exciting recruiting, learning, and social events as well as our flagship event, a Fall Career Trek to Las Vegas, NV.
It is a fascinating time to be part of the Travel & Hospitality Industries because of the rapid changes and how the industries are constantly reinventing themselves. With the advent of industry disrupters like Yelp, AirBnB, TripAdvisor, Uber/Lyft, we are noticing how companies and brands are repositioning themselves to fit with new consumer models.

In such a dynamic and broad industry, it is difficult to draw the line at where Hospitality starts and stops. One of our club’s focus is to collaborate with many different USC Marshall clubs across campus that are already integrated in our club’s focal areas, such as: Net Impact, Entrepreneurship & Venture Management Association, Business of Entertainment Association, Graduate Marketing Association, Wine Club, to name a few.
NOTE: The club has recently changed our name from the Marshall Hospitality & Gaming Club to the Travel & Hospitality Club. Nowadays, in the common vernacular, “gaming” (as we have previously used for casino gaming), has the connotation of e-sports and interactive gaming. The club felt that with “Gaming” in the title it is no longer applicable due to Marshall’s own MIGA (interactive gaming) club.

We further felt that Las Vegas has much more to offer outside of casino gaming with integrated resorts, food & bev, live entertainment, etc. We are still strongly connected to the Vegas industry and have fantastic alumni in casino gaming and the integrated resorts there. We hope that with the new name of the Travel & Hospitality Club, we will be more inclusive and project a modern and accessible brand to the USC Marshall community at large.
Fight on!
