Welcome to the October edition of the Global Supply Chain Club newsletter! This month has been filled with exciting activities, from international experiences to skill-building workshops. 

Vietnam Trip Recap 

Our week-long Vietnam trip, organized by the GSCM Program Office, offered a deep dive into the country's dynamic manufacturing landscape. We visited renowned companies like HKK Zipper, Onsemi, and Wanek Furniture, gaining insights into their operations and strategies. We explored the strategic importance of Cat Lai Port and learned about the government's initiatives to foster a favorable business environment. Beyond the industrial world, we immersed ourselves in Ho Chi Minh City's rich culture and history. This experience provided invaluable insights into Vietnam's economic potential and its role in the global supply chain. 

We had the opportunity to introduce our club to students, faculty and program office team in Vietnam. This was a great way to connect with students and foster global collaborations.

Think-Cell Workshop 

The Global Supply Chain Club hosted a workshop featuring Think-Cell, a powerful tool for creating professional data visualizations. The session, led by expert Josh Hewitt, provided hands-on training on leveraging Think-Cell's features to build visually appealing and informative charts. Participants learned how to create various chart types, automate formatting, and effectively communicate data insights. By understanding the importance of storytelling in data analysis, attendees gained the skills to create impactful presentations that leave a lasting impression.

GSCC Tailgate (16th November, Saturday) : Come join the clan and support the USC Trojans for their home-coming game against Nebraska. We'll have food, drinks, games, and Trojan spirit! Let's cheer on our team together! 

Business Case Competition Workshop (22nd November, Friday): Join our workshop to learn how to dissect complex business problems, develop innovative solutions, and present compelling arguments.
