When I was seventeen years old, someone asked me why I loved entertainment. To be honest, I had never really posed the question to myself. From playing dress up as a kid to working in TV casting, I have been enthralled with entertainment for as long as I can remember. From all of these experiences, I have come to realize that I love working in an industry that brings people together, makes people happy, and for a time, allows an audience to forget their troubles at the door and simply be entertained.
I am honored to serve as the president of the Business of Entertainment Association for the 2016-2017 school year. There is no better place to be then in Los Angeles for an MBA student interested in a career in entertainment. With the leading Hollywood studios right in our backyard and the best alumni network in the world, the BEA will be an invaluable resource to land that dream job in entertainment.
We have ambitious goals for the year as we aspire to empower students to be best prepared to go to market. Throughout the year, we will be hosting a variety of programs that will prepare students for career opportunities in the field, engage with alums, and celebrate the world of entertainment. From signature events like our annual E2 conference to our fall Lunch & Learn series, to the Winter Studio Trek to the mentor program, BEA members will be positioned for recruiting success.
Whether you are a current or prospective student, alum, industry professional, we hope you engage with us. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions you have to any board member or myself. The BEA is here to provide the tools and network you need to succeed in the business of entertainment!
