Immerse Yourself in the World of MIGA

Marshall Interactive Gaming Association (MIGA) is USC Marshall’s graduate student organization committed to educating and preparing our members for recruitment into the video game industry for both internships and full-time positions.  You're invited to join us, and become part of an organization that is the first-of-its-kind!

The Marshall Interactive Gaming Association (MIGA) empowers graduate students with the skills needed to pursue a successful and fulfilling career in the interactive entertainment (IE) industry and allows Marshall to differentiate and capture first-mover advantage within an emerging industry by placing emphasis on many MBA roles and functions (Marketing, PM, brand management, finance, etc.). We achieve this mission through 4 skill quests:

  • Education: MIGA is a repository for IE specific knowledge, networking, and exploratory functions
  • Career Development: Refinement and optimization of students’ skills as they transition and advance their careers in the industry; MIGA takes advantage of Marshall’s proximity to developers and publishers along the West Coast and, therefore, IE events, conferences, product launches, etc.
  • Relationship Building: Meeting and building relationships within the MIGA community and the larger IE network through club resources and events.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: MIGA works in collaboration with the GamePipe Laboratory at the Viterbi School of Engineering and the GameBridge program at the School of Cinematic Arts, bringing the business, tech, and creative sides of the industry together.
The Marshall Interactive Gaming Association (MIGA) at the USC Marshall School of Business is committed to educating and preparing Marshall students for careers in interactive entertainment. The interactive entertainment (IE) industry includes video game production and publishing firms, electronic sports, and content creation for emerging platforms, such as virtual and augmented reality. As an evolving industry working with state-of-the-art technology, IE holds a plethora of opportunities for MBA talent, including project/product management, finance, digital/mobile marketing, brand management, business development, and operations. MIGA is a resource for students to learn new skills, study industry patterns, find connections to potential employers, and gain access to real project opportunities.
MIGA is committed to supporting students with diverse backgrounds in an effort to address current trends in the entertainment industry.
