Signature Events

INDUSTRY NIGHT: Time and Location TBD. In 2015, the joint club Industry Night was a great success, bringing out more than 35 companies and serving students from HTA and BEA. For HTA students, this was an opportunity for students to meet with representatives from not only LA and Silicon Valley tech firms, but also explore other industries as well.  The evening began with four 15-minute table rotations in which first and second year MBA students interacted with alumni from 20th Century Fox, Amazon, DataScience, EA, Fullscreen, Google, Hulu, NBCUniversal, Netflix, NewEgg, Ranker, Uber, Vizio, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros.

Other companies through HTA that have attended in the past:, Adobe, Intel, Yahoo!, IBM, AT&T, Intuit, and Oracle. 

BAY AREA TECH TREK: The Bay Area Tech Trek is a week filled with events and networking in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. It has become a tradition for Marshall to visit tech companies in Northern California during Winter Break. USC Marshall High Tech Association (HTA) kicked off 2016 with HTA Bay Area Tech Trek. Over the course of 4 days, members of HTA visited 16 technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. In these visits, our members had the opportunity to connect with and learn from USC Marshall Alumni, hiring managers, and university recruitment teams.

Other Events

HTA Mixers: Great networking opportunities within the Marshall community and within Los Angeles.

Technology Institute: A day long course in the beginning of the school year taught by various industry experts from major tech companies to prepare students for the recruitment process in each respective function.

Internship Panel: 1st years, come and ask the 2nd years questions on their internship experience. They'll be happy to share the good and the bad, and address any concerns you may have, especially if you plan to switch careers.

Career Panel/Speaker Series: HTA will host tech experts to speak to us on the latest and greatest in the tech world.  Last year, topics included augmented reality and digital media. This year, we will have topics like startups, mobile, digital media and more.
