Email Communication Guidelines

You should plan to use the email function through your club's CampusGroups site for the majority of your communication with members.  Please remember that you are acting as a representative of the Marshall community when sending club emails and use a professional tone in your communication.

Access to Class Distribution Lists

Every club email address will be given access to the first year and second year class distribution lists for three weeks at the beginning of the Fall semester (one week prior to the Club Fair and two weeks after the Club Fair). Only club email addresses will be given access to the distribution lists (not club president or other personal email addresses), so it is important to know your club email login credentials to utilize this access.

Clubs will not have access to the class distribution lists after the three week access period at the beginning of the Fall semester. There are no exceptions. Please plan to contact your members through Campus Groups. You can also reach all Full-Time MBA students weekly through the Marshall Minute.

Email Communication to Marshall Graduate Students

All club emails sent to the class distribution lists during the three week access period at the beginning of the Fall semester will be forwarded by the MBA Program Office to the staff of all other Marshall graduate programs for distribution to their respective students.

For the rest of the year, interested students from other programs should be members of your organization and should therefore receive emails you send via CampusGroups or your email distribution list. If you have messages that you believe would be beneficial to be shared with the larger graduate student population (for instance, messages you include in the Marshall Minute), you may email the message to your MBA Program Office staff liaison. The MBA Program Office staff person will forward your message to the appropriate staff members in other graduate programs for distribution to their various student populations. It is up to the discretion of the staff of the other programs to distribute the message. You may also wish to contact student leaders in other programs, such as the MBA.PM MGSA.
