Event Funding- Guidelines & Rules
These rules apply to all GSG-administered funding, in addition to the steps and timelines on the Event Funding tab.
General Guidelines
- Organizations must be USC-recognized. See USC Campus Activities for requirements.
- Use only USC Authorized Vendors. Vendor lists change — call to confirm that a vendor still accepts USC purchase orders before listing them. If not, email the GSG Finance Director with written confirmation.
- Catering vendors: contact the GSG Finance Director for the current list.
- Non-catering vendors: list
- Anyone submitting a Budget Proposal must complete GSG Finance Orientation before their RSO's first application of the year.
- Late receipts mean probation — no funding for the rest of the semester.
- Submissions must be complete and accurate. Incomplete or inaccurate ones are automatically rejected; you'll get an email either way.
- Funds may not be used to purchase alcohol.
- Donors should send funds directly to the school, not to a student organization's bank account. Funds can then only be used as vendor payments or reimbursement to students for out-of-pocket expenses.
